Writing Challenge #4: Take and Give Back
http://oddstuffmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/life1.jpg
Oftentimes, I think about all the trees that were cut down. And I would feel sorry for destroying the beautiful nature. Then I would see myself with a paper and pencil, and told myself that these came from trees as well. But afterword, I would think about how new trees are planted again and I would feel better. This green plant reminds me of how when a person is born, in her life, she can contribute to our earth as well as taking things from our earth. For me it symbolizes that a person can take beauty and knowledge, and give back what's best for our earth. This green plant, even though it's little, it can contribute a lot. In this plant's life, it takes in carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen for us. In this plant's life, it has contributed to our earth.
I just think that we shouldn't always take, but we should give too. Most of the time, we take more than we give. Even though we may need to cut down trees to build houses, to build furniture, and to make papers and pencils, we need to plant more trees now so the future generation would still have wood. However, we should not kill more trees than we really need. So I think it's okay to take, but it won't hurt to give too.
